Students of 2nd of ESO created very nice presentations about the most important facts of their lives. They talked about the past, they shared their daily routines and they talked about their future. They shared with us what they would like to be in the future and what they would like to do.
Students or 1st and 2nd of ESO attended last week the great theater play
Dracula in Centre Catòlic in Hospitalet de Llobgreat. Here you have a short
summary of the story, the dossier for those who still need it to hand in and
some videos to watch before commenting!
"DRACULA" by
Robert Smyth and Kerry Meads tells the age old story of a group of friends
fighting to expunge a growing evil that begins to take shape in their 1890’s
seaside town. Travelling from Transylvania in Romania, Count Dracula seeks to
establish himself within English society by purchasing property, and thereby
set up his new home from where he can exert his control over the very souls of
those unfortunate enough to come within his reach.
If you want to watch the film, here you have it:
Did you like the play? What do you think about elements such as the set, the characters, the costumes, the playwrite, the plot and the stage? Time to share your thoughts!
Students of 3rd of ESO have been working really hard on a project called Let’s travel! The project consisted of creating two trips from scratch. Students were divided into different groups and some of them took charge of the accommodation, others focused on finding interesting flights and others focused on the activities and excursions.
Students prepared two different trips: one to New York and one to London. For each trip they searched information and selected the best one regarding the issues mentioned above: accommodation, flights and activities and excursions.
Enjoy their work! Students working on the projects...
Students of 4th of ESO have been working on Tongue Twisters. They have
chosen their favourite one and they have created a great poster. Now, it’s time
to practise!
Students of 1st of ESO have been working on the Present Continuous verbal tense. They have also created some posters and they have talked about actions. Plus, they have added some pictures! Very nice work!
The relationship between teenagers and new technologies is quite tight! Today in class we have watched three interesting videos which have stirred up a lot of controversy and opinions! What do you really think about this topic? Have your say!

Children's Day is recognized on various days in many places around the world, to honor children globally. It was first proclaimed by the World Conference for the Well-being of Children in 1925 and then established universally in 1954 to protect an "appropriate" day.
We celebrated Children’s Day in Escola @legre!
The students of ESO wrote ideas about what they thought all children around the world should have! As you can see, we built altogether a very nice poster.
Halloween is almost over but we all have had a great time celebrating it in school!
How many of you have wondered what Halloween is? The name is actually a shortened version of "All Hallows' Even," the eve of All Hallows' Day. "Hallow" is an Old English word for "holy person," and All Hallows' Day is simply another name for All Saints' Day, the day Catholics commemorate all the saints. At some point, people began referring to All Hallows' Even as "Hallowe'en" and then simply "Halloween."
Students know Halloween quite well but some of them had no idea about how this tradition is celebrated all over the world. So as to make them aware of this fact, we have watched some videos and have discussed about how this festivity has changed over the years and we have all given our opinion about it.
Firstly, we have found out where this tradition comes from and we all have learnt some facts we didn’t know. Also, we have seen how people put on costumes and how this is celebrated in New York City. Students could easily spot the differences between how this tradition is celebrated in the USA and how we celebrate it in Barcelona.
Moreover, most of them wondered what Trick or Treat meant. Therefore, we watched a video of a real performance! Isn’t it great? Would you like to say hello and give some candies to random people who knocked on your door?
Students of 2nd of ESO created pumkins so as to decorate the school! Great job!
Finally, students of 4th of ESO have learnt about an alarming story! Watch the video and reflect on it, we all got speechless! Students of 4th of ESO have also taken part in a literary contest. All of the students drew up a story about the scariest moment they had lived. One of the stories got a prize!
